Project Title

Eagle Service Project

10/21/2023

I will be performing a complete removal and chemical treatment of Honeysuckle in a section of New Fields park on the first day of my project. On the second day I will be going back through that land, planting native trees and shrubs that have been classified as endangered by the DNR.

The swath of land is covered in a very dense patch of honeysuckle, making the trails difficult to walk and the area generally unpleasant to look at. The replacement of honeysuckle with native trees will not only improve the appearance of the park but also encourage more biodiversity and provide more places for wildlife to live.
